In this moving interview, Erhard Vasicek recounts his extraordinary life story. After his parents’ divorce, he had a difficult childhood. His mother’s cancer and early death, problems at school, drugs, alcohol, and a formative stay at boarding school led him through deep personal crises. His time in the German Armed Forces, his passion for hip-hop, and the production of his own CDs also shaped his life’s journey.

In the midst of this difficult time, Erhard began to search for God and the meaning of life. Through his encounter with a devout friend, he read the Bible for the first time on his own. Step by step, his life changed. He made a conscious decision to follow Jesus Christ, was baptized, and has been actively involved in Christian missionary work ever since.

In this interview, Erhard Vasicek also shares about his marriage to Oxana, their joint service to God, their missionary work in Portugal, his theological studies in Austria, and his later ministry as an Adventist pastor in Baden-Württemberg.

This heartfelt testimony powerfully demonstrates how God can transform and guide a person anew despite family trauma, loss, addictions, and seemingly hopeless situations. An inspiring life story about hope, forgiveness, new beginnings, calling, trust, and the saving power of faith in Jesus Christ.
