Awesome and yet I don't want to miss it. By Shayla Nebblet

My new life as a mother? A difference like day and night... In the house, one confusion follows the next; because as soon as I've cleaned up a mess, my little one produces a new one... No time to sit down and sew, which was once my favorite hobby, no time to spend hours preparing culinary delicacies for the fun of it. Getting up at 5 a.m. and jogging 5 to 10 km as usual: no chance! These are just a few examples. I basically died to my old life...

But it's not the end of the world. "Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends," says the Bible in John 15,13:XNUMX. Nothing sounds more familiar to a mother. She sacrifices her once flexible, carefree, spontaneous life for the endless XNUMX-hour care and nurturing of one (or more) children.

Interesting that true love often means death... and that through death comes true life...

While being a mother means I've died (mostly) to my old life, I can honestly say I've never preferred to live... Because I've found that happiness in its purest form comes from a life of service day in, day out .

Living not for oneself, but for others - that is true joy, true life.
