All men and women of God on earth were waiting for the return of the lost paradise. The New Jerusalem brings this paradise from the cosmos back to earth.

Abraham also “was waiting for the city which has its foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrews 11,10:5,5). Jesus of Nazareth prophesied in the Sermon on the Mount: “Blessed are the meek; for they will inherit the earth." (Matthew XNUMX:XNUMX)
