An inspired manuscript warns against tampering with the foundation and supporting pillars of the Advent message. By Ellen White

I haven't been able to sleep since half past one this morning. The LORD had given me a message for Brother John Bell, so I wrote it down. His particular views are a mixture of truth and error. Had he lived through the experience that God has led His people through over the past forty years, he would have been able to interpret the Scriptures better.

The great markers of truth give us orientation in the history of prophecy. It is important to preserve them carefully. Otherwise they will be overturned and replaced with theories that cause more confusion than real insight. I have been quoted to support false theories that have been presented time and time again. The proponents of these theories also quoted Bible verses, but they misinterpreted them. Nevertheless, many believed that these theories in particular should be preached to the people. However, the prophecies of Daniel and John require intensive study.

There are still people alive today (1896) to whom God gave great knowledge through the study of the prophecies of Daniel and John. Because they saw how some prophecies were fulfilled one after the other. They proclaimed a timely message to humanity. The truth shone brightly like the midday sun. The events of history were direct fulfillments of prophecy. It was recognized that prophecy is a symbolic chain of events that extends to the end of world history. The final events have to do with the work of the man of sin. The church is commissioned to proclaim a special message to the world: the third angel's message. Anyone who has experienced the proclamation of the first, second and third angel's message and even participated in it does not go astray as easily as people who lack the wealth of experience of God's people.

Preparation for the Second Coming

God's people are commissioned to urge the world to prepare for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will come with power and great glory, when peace and security will be proclaimed from all parts of the Christian world, and the sleeping church and the world will ask scornfully, "Where is the promise of his return?" … Everything remains as it was from the beginning!” (2 Peter 3,4:XNUMX)

Jesus was taken up into heaven by a cloud made up of living angels. The angels asked the men of Galilee, “Why are you standing here looking at heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come again in the same way as you saw him ascend into heaven!" (Acts 1,11:XNUMX) This is the great event with value for meditation and conversation. The angels declared that he would return in the same way that he ascended into heaven.

The return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ must always be kept fresh in the minds of the people. Make it clear to everyone: Jesus is coming back! The same Jesus who ascended to heaven escorted by heavenly hosts is coming again. The same Jesus who is our advocate and friend in the heavenly court, interceding for everyone who accepts him as Savior, this Jesus is coming again to be admired in all believers.

Futuristic prophecy interpretations

Some people have thought while studying the Bible that they had discovered great light, new theories. But they were incorrect. The Scriptures are entirely true, but misapplication of the Scriptures has led people to wrong conclusions. We are in a war that is becoming more intense and resolute as we approach the final battle. Our enemy doesn't sleep. He is constantly working on the hearts of people who have not personally witnessed the last fifty years of God's people. Some apply present truth to the future. Or they postpone long-fulfilled prophecies into the future. But these theories undermine the faith of some.

After the light that the LORD has given me in his goodness, you run the risk of doing the same thing: proclaiming to others truths that already had their place and their special task for their time in the faith history of God's people. You accept these facts of biblical history but apply them to the future. They are still fulfilling their role in their place in the chain of events that made us the people we are today. In this way they are to be proclaimed to all who are in the darkness of error.

The third angel's message began shortly after 1844

The faithful co-workers of Jesus Christ should work together with the brothers who have experience from the time when the third angel's message appeared. They have followed the light and the truth step by step on their path, passing one test after another, taking up the cross that lay before their feet, and continuing to seek "the knowledge of the LORD, whose coming is so sure is like the light of the morning" (Hosea 6,3:XNUMX).

You and others of our brethren should accept the truth as God gave it to his prophecy students when, through their real and living experience, they discerned, examined, confirmed and tested point after point until the truth became reality for them. In word and writing they sent the truth like bright, warm rays of light to all parts of the world. What for them were teachings of decision brought by messengers of the LORD are also teachings of decision for all who preach this message.

The responsibility that God's people, near and far, now bear is the proclamation of the third angel's message. For those who want to understand this message, the LORD will not move them to apply the Word in such a way that it undermines the foundation and displaces the pillars of faith that have made Seventh-day Adventists what they are today.

The teachings developed sequentially as we moved down the prophetic chain in God's Word. Even today they are truth, holy, eternal truth! Anyone who experienced everything step by step and recognized the chain of truth in prophecy was also prepared to accept and implement every further ray of light. He prayed, fasted, searched, dug for truth as for hidden treasure, and the Holy Spirit, we know, taught and guided us. Many seemingly true theories have been put forward. However, they were so full of misinterpreted and misapplied Bible verses that they led to dangerous errors. We know very well how each point of truth was established and how God's Holy Spirit set His seal upon it. All the time you could hear voices saying: "Here is the truth", "I have the truth, follow me!" But we were warned: "Don't run after them now! … I did not send them, and yet they ran." (Luke 21,8:23,21; Jeremiah XNUMX:XNUMX)

The LORD's guidance was clear and He miraculously revealed what truth is. The LORD God of heaven confirmed them point by point.

Truth doesn't change

What was truth then is still truth today. But you still hear voices saying, “This is the truth. I have new light.” These new insights into prophetic timelines are characterized by misapplication of the Word and leaving God’s people floating without anchor. When a Bible student embraces the truths into which God has led His church; if he processes them and lives them out in practical life, then he becomes a living channel of light. But whoever develops new theories in his studies that combine truth and error and brings his ideas to the foreground proves that he did not light his candle on the divine age, which is why it went out in the darkness.

Unfortunately, God had to show me that you were on the same path. What appears to you to be a chain of truth is partly misplaced prophecy and counteracts what God has revealed to be truth. We as a people are responsible for the third angel's message. It is the gospel of peace, justice and truth. It is our mission to proclaim them. Have we put on all the armor? It is needed like never before.

The scheduling of angel messages

The proclamation of the first, second and third angels' messages was scheduled in the word of prophecy. Neither a stake nor a bolt may be moved. We have no more right to change the coordinates of these messages than we have the right to replace the Old Testament with the New Testament. The Old Testament is the Gospel in types and symbols, the New Testament is the essence. One is as indispensable as the other. The Old Testament also brings us teachings from the mouth of the Messiah. These teachings have not lost their power in any way.

The first message and the second were proclaimed in 1843 and 1844. Today is the time of the third. All three messages are being proclaimed so far. Their repetition is as necessary as ever. Because many are looking for truth. Proclaim them in word and writing, explaining the order of the prophecies that lead us to the third angel's message. Without first and second there can be no third. Our mission is to bring these messages to the world in publications and lectures and to show what has happened so far and what will happen on the timeline of prophecy history.

The sealed book was not the book of Revelation, but the part of Daniel's prophecy that referred to the last times. The Scripture says: “And you, Daniel, close the words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will wander around searching, and knowledge will increase." (Daniel 12,4:10,6 Elberfeld footnote) When the book was opened, the proclamation went out: "There will be no more time." (Revelation XNUMX:XNUMX) The book is today Daniel unseals, and Jesus' revelation to John is intended to reach everyone on earth. Through the increase of knowledge a people will be prepared to endure in the last days.

“And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having an everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, and to every tribe, and to every language, and to every people. He said with a loud voice: Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come; And worship him who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the springs of water!" (Revelation 14,6.7:XNUMX)

The Sabbath question

If this message is heeded, it will attract the attention of every nation, tribe, language and people. One will examine the Word carefully and see what power changed the seventh-day Sabbath and instituted a mock Sabbath. The man of sin has forsaken the only true God, rejected his law, and trampled his holy Sabbath foundation into the dust. The fourth commandment, so clear and unequivocal, is ignored. The Sabbath commemoration that proclaims the living God, Creator of heaven and earth, has been erased and the world has been given a counterfeit Sabbath instead. In this way a gap has been created in God's law. For a false Sabbath cannot be a true standard.

In the first angel's message, people are called to worship God, our Creator. He made the world and everything in it. But they pay homage to a foundation of the papacy that overrides the law of YHWH. But knowledge about this topic will increase.

The message that the angel proclaims as he flies through the middle of heaven is the eternal gospel, the same gospel that was proclaimed in Eden when God said to the serpent, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, between you seed and their seed: he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel." (Genesis 1:3,15) This was the first promise of a Savior who would challenge and prevail against Satan's army on the battlefield would. Jesus came into our world to embody God's nature as reflected in his holy law; for his law is the copy of his nature. Jesus was both the law and the gospel. The angel who proclaims the eternal gospel thereby proclaims God's law; because the gospel of salvation motivates people to obey the law and thereby be transformed in character into God's image.

Isaiah 58 describes the mission of those who worship God as Creator of heaven and earth: "Things that have long lain desolate will be rebuilt through you, and you will raise up what was once founded." (Isaiah 58,12 Luther 84) God's memorial service, his seventh-day Sabbath, is established. “You will be called, ‘He who builds up the breaches and restores the streets for people to live in’. If you restrain your foot on the Sabbath [no longer trample it], lest you do what you please on My holy day; If you call the Sabbath your delight and honor the holy day of the LORD... then I will lead you over the high places of the land and feed you with the inheritance of your father Jacob. Yes, the mouth of the LORD has promised it." (Isaiah 58,12:14-XNUMX)

Church and world history, faithfulness and those who betray their faith are clearly revealed here. Through the proclamation of the third angel's message, the faithful have set their feet on the path of God's commandments. They respect, honor and glorify the One who created heaven and earth. But the opposing forces have dishonored God by tearing a loophole in his law. As soon as light from God's Word drew attention to his holy commandments and revealed the gap in the law created by the papacy, people tried to eliminate the entire law in order to make themselves better. Did they succeed? No. For all who study the Scriptures themselves recognize that God's law is unchanging and eternal; his memorial, the Sabbath, will endure for all eternity. Because it distinguishes the only true God from all false gods.

Satan has persevered and tirelessly sought to continue the work he began in heaven of changing God's law. He was able to make the world believe that God's law was flawed and in need of overhaul. He spread this theory in heaven before his fall. A large part of the so-called Christian church shows, if not with words, then at least with their attitude, that they believe the same error. But if one jot or tittle of God's law is changed, then Satan has accomplished on earth what he failed to accomplish in heaven. He has set his deceptive trap and hopes that the Church and the world will fall into it. But not everyone will fall into his trap. A line will be drawn between the children of obedience and the children of disobedience, between the faithful and the unfaithful. Two great groups will arise, the worshipers of the beast and his image and the worshipers of the true and living God.

A global message

The message in Revelation 14 proclaims that the hour of God's judgment has come. It will be announced in the end times. The angel of Revelation 10 stands with one foot on the sea and one foot on the land, showing that this message reaches distant lands. The ocean is crossed, the sea islands hear the proclamation of the final warning message to the world.

“And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the earth lifted up his hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, and the earth and everything in it and the sea and all that is in it: there will be no more time." (Revelation 10,5.6:1844) This message announces the end of the prophetic periods. The disappointment of those who waited for their Lord in XNUMX was truly bitter for all who had so longed for his appearance. The LORD allowed this disappointment so that hearts might be revealed.

Clearly predicted and well prepared

Not a cloud has settled upon the church for which God has not made provision; not an opposing power has arisen to fight against God's work that he did not see coming. Everything has come to pass as he predicted through his prophets. He neither left his church in the dark nor forsaken him, but foretold events by prophetic declarations and brought about by his providence what his Holy Spirit breathed into the prophets as prophecy. All his goals will be achieved. His law is linked to his throne. Even if the satanic and human forces join forces, they still cannot eliminate it. The truth is inspired by God and is guarded by him; She will live and conquer, even if it sometimes seems as if she is being overshadowed. Jesus' gospel is the law embodied in character. The deception used to combat it, every ploy used to justify the error, every fallacy that satanic forces invent will eventually and finally be broken. Truth will triumph like the radiant midday sun. “The sun of righteousness shall arise, and healing shall be in his wings.” (Malachi 3,20:72,19) “And the whole earth shall be filled with his glory.” (Psalm XNUMX:XNUMX)

Everything that God had predicted in the history of prophecy for the past has been fulfilled, and everything that is to come will be fulfilled one after the other. God's prophet Daniel stands in his place. John stands in his place. In Revelation, the Lion of the tribe of Judah opened the book of Daniel to the prophecy students. That's why Daniel stands in his place. He bears witness to the revelations which the LORD gave him in the vision, the great and solemn events which we must know at the threshold of their fulfillment.

In history and prophecy, God's Word describes the long, ongoing conflict between truth and error. The conflict is still ongoing. What has happened will happen again. Old disputes flare up again. New theories are constantly emerging. But God's church knows where it stands. Because she believes in the fulfillment of prophecy through the proclamation of the first, second and third angels' messages. She has experience more valuable than fine gold. She should stand unshakable and “hold fast to her initial confidence to the end” (Hebrews 3,14:XNUMX).

The experience around 1844

The first and second angelic messages were accompanied by a transforming power just like the third one is today. The people were led to the decision. The power of the Holy Spirit became visible. The Holy Scripture was studied intensively, point by point. Nights were practically spent studying the word intensively. We searched for the truth as if we were searching for hidden treasure. Then the LORD revealed himself. Light shone on the prophecies and we felt that God was our teacher.

The following verses are just a glimpse of what we experienced: “Incline your ear and listen to the words of the wise, and let your heart attend to my knowledge! For it is lovely when you keep them within you, when they are all ready on your lips. So that you may put your trust in the LORD, I teach you today, yes, you! Have I not written to you excellent things, with counsel and teaching, to let you know the sure words of truth, so that you may pass on the words of truth to those who send you?" (Proverbs 22,17:21-XNUMX)

After the great disappointment, few continued to study the Word wholeheartedly. But some were not discouraged. They believed that the LORD had led them. The truth was revealed to them step by step. It became interwoven with their most sacred memories and affections. These truth seekers felt: Jesus completely identifies with our nature and our interests. The truth was allowed to shine in its own beautiful simplicity, in its dignity and power. She conveyed a confidence that hadn't been there before the disappointment. We were able to proclaim the message as one.

But great confusion arose among those who did not remain faithful to their faith and experience. Every conceivable opinion was sold as truth; but the voice of the LORD rang out: “Do not believe them! ... For I did not send them" (Jeremiah 12,6:27,15; XNUMX:XNUMX)

We were careful to hold on to God along the way. The message should reach the world. The existing light was a special gift from God! The passing on of light is a divine commandment! God motivated the disappointed ones who were still searching for truth to share with the world, step by step, what they had been taught. The prophetic declarations should be repeated and the truth necessary for salvation made known. The work was difficult at first. The listeners often rejected the message as incomprehensible, and a serious conflict arose, especially over the Sabbath issue. But the LORD made his presence known. Sometimes the veil that hid His glory from our eyes was lifted. Then we saw him in his high and holy place.

Because the experience of the Advent pioneers is missing

The LORD will not want anyone today to set aside the truth with which the Holy Spirit inspired his messengers.

As in the past, many will sincerely seek knowledge in the Word; and they will find knowledge in the word. But they lack the experience of those who heard the warning messages when they were first announced.

Because they lack this experience, some do not appreciate the value of the teachings that have been markers for us and that have made us the special church that we are. They do not apply the Scriptures correctly and therefore create false theories. They quote a lot of Bible verses and also teach a lot of truth; but truth is so mixed with error that they draw false conclusions. However, because they weave Bible verses throughout their theories, they see a straight chain of truth before them. Many who lack the experience of the early days adopt these false theories and are led down the wrong path, going back instead of moving forward. That is exactly the enemy's goal.

The Jews' experience with the interpretation of prophecy

Satan's desire is that all who profess present truth repeat the history of the Jewish nation. The Jews had the writings of the Old Testament and felt at home in them. But they made a terrible mistake. The prophecies of the glorious return of the Messiah in the clouds of heaven were applied by them to his first coming. Because his arrival did not meet their expectations, they turned their backs on him. Satan was able to lure these people into the net, deceive them and destroy them.

Sacred, eternal truths had been entrusted to them for the world. The treasures of the Law and the Gospel, as closely linked as Father and Son, were to be brought to the whole world. The Prophet declares: "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not cease, until her righteousness shines forth like a light, and her salvation like a burning torch. And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD will determine. And you will be a crown of honor in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God." (Isaiah 62,1:3-XNUMX)

This is what the LORD said about Jerusalem. But when Jesus came into this world exactly as prophesied, with his divinity in human guise and in both dignity and humility, his mission was misunderstood. The false hope of an earthly prince led to the misinterpretation of Scripture.

Jesus was born as an infant into a poor home. But there were those who were ready to welcome him as a heavenly guest. The angelic messengers hid their splendor for them. For them, the heavenly choir rang out across the hills of Bethlehem with Hosanna to the newborn king. The simple shepherds believed him, received him, paid homage to him. But the very people who should have welcomed Jesus first did not recognize him. He was not the one on whom they had pinned their ambitious hopes. They followed the wrong path they had taken to the end. They became unteachable, self-righteous, self-sufficient. They imagined that their knowledge was true and therefore only they could safely teach the people.

New ideas can be viruses or malware

The same Satan continues to work today to undermine the faith of God's people. There are those who immediately seize on any new idea and misinterpret the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. These people do not consider that the very men whom God assigned to this special task brought the truth at the appointed time. These men experienced, step by step, the exact fulfillment of the prophecy. Anyone who has not experienced this personally has no choice but to take God's word and believe "their word"; for they were led by the LORD in the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels' messages. When these messages are received and heeded, they prepare a people to stand in God's great day. If we study the Scriptures to confirm God's truth given to His servants for this world, we will proclaim the first, second, and third angels' messages.

There are prophecies that are still waiting to be fulfilled. But wrong work was done again and again. This false work is perpetuated by those who seek new prophetic knowledge, but slowly turn away from the knowledge that God has already given. Through the messages of Revelation 14 the world is being tested; they are the eternal gospel and are to be proclaimed everywhere. But to reinterpret those prophecies which his chosen instruments have declared under the influence of his Holy Spirit, the LORD commissions no one to do so, especially not those who lack experience in his work.

According to the knowledge that God has given me, this is the work that you, Brother John Bell, are trying to do. Your views have resonated with some; However, this is because these people lack the discernment to assess the true scope of your arguments. Their experience of God's work for this time is limited and they do not see where your views are leading them. You don't see it yourself either. They readily agree with your statements and cannot find any error in them; but they are deceived because you have woven together many Bible verses to support your theory. Your arguments seem convincing to them.

Things are completely different for those who already have experience with the teaching that relates to the last period of world history. They see that you represent many precious truths; but they also see that you are misinterpreting the Scriptures and putting the truth in a false frame to reinforce the error. Do not rejoice if some accept your writings! It is not easy for your brothers, who trust you as Christians and love you as such, to tell you that your argument, which means so much to you, is not a true theory. God has not commissioned you to proclaim them to his church.

God has shown me that the scriptures you have compiled are not fully understood by yourself. Otherwise you would see that your theories directly undermine the foundation of our faith.

My brother, I had to admonish many who followed the same path as you. These people seemed sure that God was leading them. They came with their different theories to preachers who proclaimed the truth. I said to these preachers, “The LORD is not behind it! Don't allow yourself to be deceived and don't take responsibility for deceiving others! At camp meetings I had to clearly warn against those who lead away from the right path in this way. I proclaimed the message in word and writing: “You shall not go up after them!” (1 Chronicles 14,14:XNUMX).

Doubtful sources of inspiration

The most difficult such task I have ever had was dealing with someone who I knew really wanted to follow the LORD. For a while he thought he was receiving new knowledge from the LORD. He was very sick and had to die soon. How I hoped in my heart that he wouldn't force me to tell him what he was doing. To whom he explained his views, they listened enthusiastically. Some thought he was inspired. He had made a map and thought he could show from the scriptures that the LORD would return on a specific date in 1894, I believe. To many, his conclusions appeared to be flawless. They talked about his powerful warnings in the hospital room. The most beautiful images passed before his eyes. But what was the source of his inspiration? The painkiller morphine.

At our camp meeting in Lansing, Michigan, just before my trip to Australia, I had to speak clearly about this new light. I told the listeners that the words they had heard were not inspired truth. The wonderful light that was proclaimed as glorious truth was a misinterpretation of Bible passages. The work of the LORD would not end in 1894. The word of the LORD came to me: “This is not the truth, but leads astray. Some will be confused by these presentations and give up the faith.”

Other people have written to me about very flattering visions they have received. Some had them printed. They seemed electrified with new life, full of zeal. But I hear the same word from them as I hear from you: "Don't believe them!" You have interwoven truth and error in such a way that you think everything is real. At this point the Jews also stumbled. They wove a cloth that seemed beautiful to them, but it ultimately caused them to reject the knowledge that Jesus brought. They thought they had great knowledge. They lived by this knowledge. Therefore, they rejected the pure, true knowledge that Jesus was supposed to bring them. Minds catch fire and join new ventures that take them into unknown realms.

Anyone who determines when Jesus will or will not return is not bringing a true message. In no way does God give anyone the right to say that the Messiah will delay his coming for five, ten, or twenty years. »That's why you too are ready! For the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think so." (Matthew 24,44:XNUMX) This is our message, the very message that the three angels are proclaiming as they fly through the middle of heaven. Our mission today is to proclaim this final message to a fallen world. New life comes from heaven and takes possession of all of God's children. But divisions will come into the church, two camps will develop, wheat and tares will grow together until harvest.

The closer we come to the end of time, the deeper and more serious the work will become. All who are God's co-workers will fight hard for the faith once and for all delivered to the saints. They will not be dissuaded from the present message that is already illuminating the earth with its glory. Nothing is worth fighting for like the glory of God. The only stable rock is the rock of salvation. The truth as it is in Jesus is the refuge in these days of error.

God has warned his people of the dangers to come. John saw the final events and a people fighting against God. Read Revelation 12,17:14,10; 13:17-13 and chapters 16,13 and XNUMX. John sees the group of deceived people. He says, “And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits who perform signs and go out to the kings of the earth and of all the world, to gather them to battle on that great day of God Almighty. — Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his clothes, lest he go about naked and his shame be seen!" (Revelation XNUMX:XNUMX)

The knowledge of God has withdrawn from those who reject the truth. They have not accepted the message of the Faithful Witness: “I advise you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with ointment, that you may see!” (Revelation 3,18:XNUMX) But the message will do its work. A people will be prepared to stand spotless before God.

Loyalty and unity

John saw the crowd and said, “Let us rejoice and shout for joy and give him glory! For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready. And it was given unto her to clothe herself in fine linen, pure and bright; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints." (Revelation 19,7.8:XNUMX, XNUMX)

The prophecy is being fulfilled verse by verse. The more faithfully we hold to the standard of the third angel's message, the more clearly we will understand the prophecies in Daniel; for Revelation is the complement to Daniel. The more fully we receive the knowledge that the Holy Spirit gives through God's ordained servants, the deeper and more securely established the teachings of ancient prophecy will appear to us - indeed, as deeply and securely established as the eternal throne. We will be sure that the words of the men of God were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Anyone who wants to understand the spiritual sayings of the prophets needs the Holy Spirit themselves. These messages were not given to the prophets for themselves, but for all who would live in the midst of the prophesied events.

There are more than one or two who have supposedly received new knowledge. All are ready to proclaim their knowledge. But God would be happy if they accepted and heeded the knowledge that had already been given to them. He wants them to base their faith on the Bible verses that support the long-standing stance of the church of God. The eternal gospel is to be proclaimed by human instruments. It is our mission to let the messages of the angels fly through the midst of heaven with the final warning to a fallen world. Although we are not not called to prophesy, we are nevertheless called to believe the prophecies and, together with God, bring this knowledge to others. This is what we are trying to do.

You can help us in many ways, my brother. But I have been commissioned by the LORD to tell you not to focus on yourself. Be careful when listening, understanding and internalizing God's Word! The LORD will bless you so that you will work together with your brothers. His commissioned publishers of the third angel's message work together with heavenly intelligences. The LORD has not commissioned you to proclaim a message that will bring disunity among the believers. I repeat: He does not lead anyone by His Holy Spirit to develop a theory that would undermine faith in the solemn messages He has given His people to the world.

I advise you not to view your writings as precious truth. It would not be wise to perpetuate them by printing what has been causing you so much headache. It is not God's will for this issue to be brought before His church, for it would hinder the very message of truth that we are to believe and practice in these final, perilous days.

Secrets that distract us

The Lord Jesus said to his disciples while he was with them: “I have many more things to say to you; but you cannot bear it now." (John 16,12:XNUMX) He could have revealed things that would have so absorbed the disciples' attention that they would have completely forgotten what he had previously taught. They should think intensively about his topics. Therefore, Jesus withheld from them the things that would have astonished them and given them opportunities for criticism, misunderstanding, and dissatisfaction. He gave people of little faith and would-be pious no reason to mystify and distort the truth and thus contribute to the formation of camps.

Jesus could have revealed mysteries that would have provided food for thought and research for generations, even to the end of time. As the source of all true science, he could have motivated people to explore mysteries. Then they would have been so completely absorbed in whole ages that they would have had no desire to eat the flesh of God's Son and drink his blood.

Jesus knew full well that Satan constantly intrigues and preoccupies people with assumptions. In doing so, he tries to ignore the great and gigantic truth that Jesus wants to make clear to us: "This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ." (John 17,3)

Focus rays of light and guard them like treasure

There is a lesson in Jesus' words after feeding the 5000. He said, "Gather up the fragments that are left over, so that nothing goes to waste!" (John 6,12:XNUMX). These words meant more than that the disciples should collect the pieces of bread into baskets. Jesus said they should memorize his words, study the scriptures, and treasure every ray of light. Instead of seeking knowledge that God has not revealed, they should carefully gather up what He has given them.

Satan seeks to erase the knowledge of God from people's minds and to eradicate God's attributes from their hearts. Man has made many inventions believing that he himself was the inventor. He thinks he is smarter than God. What God revealed was misinterpreted, misapplied, and mixed with satanic deceptions. Satan quotes scripture to deceive. He already tried to deceive Jesus in every way and today he approaches many people using the same method. He will cause them to misinterpret the Scriptures and make them witnesses to the error.

Jesus came to correct the misplaced truth that served error. He picked it up, repeated it and put it back in its proper place in the building of truth. Then he commanded her to stand firmly there. This is what he did with God's law, with the Sabbath, and with the institution of marriage.

He is our role model. Satan wants to erase everything that shows us the true God. But Jesus' followers should guard as treasure everything that God has revealed. No truth of His Word revealed to them by His Spirit may be set aside.

Theories are constantly being put forward that preoccupy the mind and shake one's faith. Those who truly lived through the time when the prophecies were fulfilled have become what they are today through these prophecies: a Seventh-day Adventist. He shall gird his loins with the truth, and wear all the armor. Even those who lack this experience can proclaim the message of truth with the same confidence. The light that God has gladly given to His people will not weaken their confidence. He will also strengthen their faith along the path he has led them in the past. It is important to hold on to your initial confidence until the end.

"Here is the steadfast endurance of the saints, here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus!" (Revelation 14,12:18,1) Here we endure steadfastly: under the third angel's message: "And after this I saw an angel He came down from heaven with great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and has become a habitation of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the hot wine of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich from her immense luxury. And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, lest ye be partakers of her sins, lest ye receive of her plagues. For their sins reach to heaven, and God has remembered their iniquities." (Revelation 5:XNUMX-XNUMX)

In this way, the essence of the second angel's message is once again given to the world through the other angel who illuminates the earth with his splendor. These messages all merge into one so that they reach people in the last days of this world's history. The whole world will be tested, and all who were in the dark about the Sabbath of the fourth commandment will understand the final message of mercy to the people.

Asking the right questions

Our task is to proclaim God's commandments and the testimony of Jesus Christ. “Get ready to meet your God!” (Amos 4,12:12,1) is the warning call to the world. It applies to each of us personally. We are called to "lay aside every burden and the sin that so easily ensnares us" (Hebrews XNUMX:XNUMX). There is a task before you, my brother: Be yoked with Jesus! Make sure you build on the rock! Don't risk eternity for the sake of a guess! It may well be that you will no longer experience the dangerous events that are now beginning to happen. Nobody can say when his last hour has come. Doesn't it make sense to wake up every moment, examine yourself and ask: What does eternity mean to me?

Every person should be concerned with the questions: Is my heart renewed? Is my soul transformed? Are my sins forgiven through faith in Jesus? Am I born again? I follow the invitation: “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; then you will find rest for your souls! For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11,28:30-3,8)? Do I “consider everything a detriment to the surpassing knowledge of Christ Jesus” (Philippians XNUMX:XNUMX)? Do I feel the responsibility to believe every word that comes from the mouth of God?
